wow, this makes me mad. God does that stuff for a REASON. We dont understand His reasons all the time, but thats irrelevant. Did this guy ever stop to think maybe kids have bone cancer so that someone could be touched by the story? Obviously not. How disrespectful.
How disrespectful to comment without properly reading the point! Stephen said that saying that there is a God using only beauty in the world as evidence is banal. He isn’t saying that there is no god because of the bad things in the world. There is no god simply because there is no god: the very same reason there isn’t a teapot floating around the moon. If you’re going to argue, pay attention to what is being said.
I think it’s worse that the other person thinks that a child having bone cancer can be justified by it being an inspirational story. That’s low.
